Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a customs brokerage
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, regulations, and related government agency procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a customs brokerage
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, regulations, and related government agency procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Customs Broker License preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate and rapid data entry skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Prepare customs entries and coordinate freight forwarding to designated destinations, working with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers
  • Monitor and follow up on the clearance process for all prepared entries
  • Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies, communicating effectively with clients and supervisors
  • Arrange and track freight delivery to final locations
  • Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues related to shipments
  • Scan and upload customs entries into the imaging system within set deadlines
  • Create reports, presentations, and data analysis using various software tools and databases
  • Troubleshoot and address documentation issues through effective written and verbal communication with customers and foreign offices
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work weekends on a rotational basis and follow a holiday schedule as required by operational needs
