Job Requirements

  • Must live in DFW area
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday
  • Ability to work weekend and holiday schedules as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations and government regulations
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or international equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic understanding of harmonized tariff schedule (HS) system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve documentation discrepancies
  • Experience with office software and data entry
  • Ability to work collaboratively with international stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Prepare customs entries and forward freight to designated locations
  • Interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers
  • Follow up with clearance process on all entries prepared
  • Communicate documentation discrepancies to client and supervisor
  • Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
  • Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
  • File entries to customs via GBS-CM in a timely and accurate manner
  • Scan entries into the imaging system meeting sensitive time requirements
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis using software packages and databases
  • Follow up daily on documentation discrepancy issues
  • Establish and maintain client relationships
  • Work weekend schedule on a department rotation basis
  • Work holiday schedule based on operations and account needs
