Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
  • high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations
  • basic computer skills
  • basic understanding of HS system
  • ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis

  • basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments
  • basic computer skills
  • basic understanding of Harmonized System (HS) codes

Job Duties

  • Preparation of customs entries and forwarding freight to designated locations
  • prepare customs entries and follow-up with the clearance process on all entries prepared
  • communicate documentation discrepancies to client and supervisor
  • coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
  • resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
  • responsible for filing entries to customs via GBS-CM in a timely and accurate manner
  • prepare reports, presentations, and analysis using various software packages and databases
  • daily follow-up on documentation discrepancy issues
  • establish and maintain client relationships
  • work on a weekend schedule on a department rotation basis and possibly holiday schedule based on operation needs
