Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
- Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to work weekend and holiday shifts on a rotation basis
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations
- Familiarity with various government departments involved in customs
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of harmonized tariff schedule system
Job Duties
- Prepare customs entries and coordinate freight forwarding to designated locations
- Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors
- Follow up on customs clearance process for all prepared entries
- Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation issues
- File entries to customs via GBS-CM accurately and timely
- Scan entries into imaging systems while meeting time and sensitivity requirements
- Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses using various software
- Establish and maintain client relationships
- Perform weekend and holiday shifts as needed
