Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
  • high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • basic knowledge of customs operations and regulations
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • willing to work weekend or holiday schedules on rotation basis

  • basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments
  • basic computer skills
  • basic understanding of harmonized tariff schedule system

Job Duties

  • Prepare customs entries and forward freight to designated locations
  • interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers
  • follow up with clearance process on all prepared entries
  • communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors
  • coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
  • resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
  • file entries with customs via GBS-CM accurately and timely
  • scan entries into imaging systems meeting sensitive time requirements
  • prepare reports, presentations, and analysis using various software and databases
  • troubleshoot and communicate documentation discrepancies effectively with customers and foreign origins
  • establish and maintain client relationships
  • work weekend or holiday schedules on a rotation basis as needed
