Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
  • willingness to work a weekend and holiday rotation schedule
  • ability to troubleshoot and communicate documentation discrepancies
  • basic knowledge of customs laws and regulations
  • basic computer proficiency
  • high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • strong attention to detail

  • basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, regulations, and other government departments
  • basic computer skills
  • basic understanding of harmonized system (HS) codes
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare customs entries and follow up with clearance process on all entries prepared
  • troubleshoot and communicate documentation discrepancies with clients and supervisors
  • coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
  • resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
  • file entries to customs via GBS-CM in a timely and accurate manner
  • scan entries into imaging system meeting time requirements
  • prepare reports, presentations, and analysis using various software packages and databases
  • establish and maintain client relationships
  • participate in department rotation schedules including weekends and holidays
