Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations
- Basic computer skills
- Basic understanding of harmonized tariff system
- Must be located in El Paso
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Availability to work weekend or holiday schedules on rotation
- Must be U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Employment type is permanent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations
- Basic computer skills
- Basic understanding of harmonized tariff system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot documentation discrepancies
- Experience in administrative duties and data entry
Job Duties
- Prepare customs entries and forward freight to designated locations
- Interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers
- Follow up with the clearance process on all entries prepared
- Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors
- Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
- Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
- File entries to customs via GBS-CM accurately and timely
- Scan entries into imaging systems meeting sensitive time requirements
- Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses using various software and databases
- Troubleshoot and communicate effectively on documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins
- Establish and maintain client relationships
- Work weekend or holiday schedules on department rotation basis as needed
