Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic understanding of harmonized tariff system
  • Must be located in El Paso
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Availability to work weekend or holiday schedules on rotation
  • Must be U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Employment type is permanent

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic understanding of harmonized tariff system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot documentation discrepancies
  • Experience in administrative duties and data entry

Job Duties

  • Prepare customs entries and forward freight to designated locations
  • Interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers
  • Follow up with the clearance process on all entries prepared
  • Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors
  • Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations
  • Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
  • File entries to customs via GBS-CM accurately and timely
  • Scan entries into imaging systems meeting sensitive time requirements
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses using various software and databases
  • Troubleshoot and communicate effectively on documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins
  • Establish and maintain client relationships
  • Work weekend or holiday schedules on department rotation basis as needed
