Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, a lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Agree to a 6-month lock-in period for training completion
  • Commit to a 1-year product lock-in for role proficiency
  • Basic knowledge of customs laws and regulations
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work on weekend and holiday rotations based on operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, regulations, and government departments
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding of harmonized tariff schedule (HS) system
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to customs documentation
  • Experience with data entry and administrative tasks

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot and communicate documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins
  • Audit commercial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Apply harmonized tariff schedule codes for duty assessment
  • Prepare customs entries and coordinate freight forwarding
  • Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors
  • Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues
  • File entries to customs via GBS-CM accurately and timely
  • Scan entries into the imaging system within sensitive time requirements
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses using software and databases
  • Establish and maintain client relationships
  • Follow up daily on documentation discrepancy issues
  • Work on weekend and holiday schedule rotations as required
