Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in customs brokerage
  • Valid CHB License
  • Proficiency in CargoWise and MS Office
  • Strong knowledge of US Customs regulations
  • Experience in team management and leadership
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Great Neck, NY

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent current knowledge of US Customs Brokerage requirements
  • Strong computer literacy including CargoWise and MS products
  • Valid CHB License
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring teams
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex operational and billing issues
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills
  • Excellent customer relationship management abilities

Job Duties

  • Develop and mentor team members on an ongoing basis
  • File accurate and timely entries
  • Ensure timely dispatch of cargo and follow up regarding proof of delivery
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing for both team and personal accounts
  • Understand all departmental functions including billing, Customs compliance, and ISF
  • Ensure customer SOPs, U.S. government agency regulations, and corporate standards are adhered to
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complicated operational and billing issues
  • Demonstrate solid decision-making skills and prioritize daily tasks
  • Delegate tasks, workloads, and project work within the team
  • Attend customer meetings and maintain assigned customer relationships
  • Maximize opportunities to improve customer service and business opportunities
  • Execute team entry and billing audits to ensure accuracy and assess training needs
