Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • one to two years directly related experience preferred
  • experience with customs entries and clearances preferred
  • working knowledge of the ABI system required
  • ability to communicate professionally by phone and email
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • ability to multi-task
  • attention to detail
  • flexibility in schedule
  • must be available to work onsite in New Hyde Park, NY
  • must be able to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED, one to two years of directly related experience, experience with customs entries and clearances preferred, working knowledge of the ABI system, professional communication skills via phone and email, ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and other offices, pleasant personality and professional demeanor, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, must obtain required 20 points for Certified Customs Specialist Certification renewal if applicable

Job Duties

  • preparing customs entries for U.S. customs, DEA, FDA, USDA, CDC Fish and Wildlife, RLF and in bond, assisting brokers with paperwork, billing entry and entering charges and Incoterms into internal systems, sending required A1A documents to importers and preparing internal record-keeping copies, maintaining current knowledge of all customer SOP, performing other duties as assigned
