Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of brokerage or transportation or customer service experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. Customs regulations
  • Paid training provided

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of brokerage or transportation experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and office equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of harmonized tariff system
  • Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation to appropriate parties
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems delaying freight release
  • Maintain relationships with brokers and service providers
  • Resolve banking and letter of credit problems
  • Advise customers on payment terms
  • Manage entry verification and post-entry activities
