Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- six months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience preferred
- strong knowledge of harmonized tariff schedule classification and federal agency import regulations
- proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner use
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- organizational and problem-solving skills
- ability to handle high volumes and time-sensitive work
- ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- detail-oriented
- ability to be located near Tonawanda, NY or Elk Grove Village, IL
- availability for Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm shift

Job Duties
- Collect and enter data required for customs entry, entry summary, and single-entry bonds
- process carrier delivery orders and FTN T&B invoices
- determine accurate tariff classification and value for customs entries
- apply federal agency regulations to import shipments and make proper declarations
- input required data for transmission to federal agencies such as FDA, EPA, and FCC
- coordinate additional billings and corrections to resolve customs rejects and census warnings
- operate data entry equipment and maintain data dictionaries for item classification
- transmit data for US Customs and government agency release and delivery
- monitor automated broker interface transmissions and correct errors
- maintain master files and update customer records with proper product classifications
- collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service
