Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • six months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience preferred
  • proficiency with MS Office and Outlook
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • ability to handle high volumes of work
  • ability to work independently
  • detail oriented
  • knowledge of HTS classification
  • familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and federal requirements
  • must reside within a 50-mile radius of 555 Riverwalk Parkway, Tonawanda, NY
  • ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm EST in a hybrid work environment
  • must be able to use office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • six months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation to U.S. Customs, agents, and clients
  • anticipate, identify, and resolve problems delaying release or movement of freight
  • maintain relationships with brokers and service providers
  • resolve banking and letter of credit problems
  • advise customers on payment terms
  • obtain payment on delinquent accounts
  • resolve billing issues
  • coordinate post-entry activities
  • complete accurate data input
  • perform root cause analysis
  • manage entry verification process
  • access client external systems
  • correspond via written, phone, or email
  • produce operational trend reports
  • keep partners informed of exception processes
  • handle pre alerts per customer SOP
  • maintain knowledge of FedEx products and services
  • facilitate entry processing and exception resolution
  • perform other duties as assigned
