Job Requirements
- HS diploma or GED required
- Six months of brokerage or transportation experience or customer service experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office and office equipment
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle high volume of work
- Ability to handle time sensitive work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge in HTS classification and harmonized tariff system
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and other federal regulations related to customs brokerage
- Paid training provided

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of HTS classification and harmonized tariff system
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and federal requirements related to customs brokerage
Job Duties
- Provide impeccable customer service
- Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to U.S. Customs, agents, and clients
- Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems delaying freight release or movement
- Maintain relationships with brokers and service providers to exceed customer service requirements
- Resolve banking and letter of credit issues
- Advise customers on payment terms and obtain payment on delinquent accounts
- Complete accurate data input and coordinate post-entry activities
- Perform root cause analysis as directed
- Manage entry verification process
- Correspond with business partners via written, phone, or email
- Produce operational trend reports
- Facilitate entry processing and exception resolution
- Maintain general knowledge of FedEx products and services
- Interact with customers, internal staff, and management
