Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customs brokerage or related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Basic knowledge of international trade regulations
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office
  • Commitment to compliance with customs regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of customs brokerage process
  • Understanding of customs legislation including classification, valuation and origin
  • Familiarity with ocean, road and air documentation processes
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active approach with strong organizational and computer skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Fluent in English

Job Duties

  • Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operational system
  • Track and trace customs files and reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Understand and interpret import and export customs desk level operating procedures
  • Transfer customs declaration information into customs entry system to build valid declarations
  • Assist in verification and submission of customs declarations to authorities
  • Ensure compliance with regulations at all times
