Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to positively represent API in customer facing situations
  • Customer service background is a plus
  • Airline hotel travel experience is a plus
  • Ability to work evening shifts from 4:00pm to 2:00am including weekends
  • Flexible schedule availability including weekends
  • Ability to work overtime if needed
  • Ability to use phone email fax and reservation systems effectively
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of airline crew scheduling is a strong plus
  • Prior experience with GDS systems hotel reservation systems airline reservation systems or related functions preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Great telephone etiquette
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Detail oriented with great organizational skills
  • Flexible work schedule including availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work overtime if needed
  • Second language is a plus

Job Duties

  • Serve as API’s on-site liaison with the airline partner providing support guidance and training
  • Process client requests received from the airline through the API Operations system assessing all customer needs with prompt well-informed accurate and professional responses
  • Follow-up on all client requests and transactions ensuring full execution and client satisfaction
  • Alert supervisor on items of critical nature requiring management involvement to solve or avoid potential challenges
  • Negotiate with vendors such as hotels and ground transportation to achieve the best outcome for the client and API
  • Resolve client disagreements calmly and professionally researching and presenting fact-based solutions
  • Use all available communication tools and reservation systems like ACES Hotel Express and IHRS to track and provide solutions to client needs and requests
  • Adapt to irregular operations to accommodate airline schedule changes including extended work schedules and being on call outside regular hours
  • Maintain knowledge of API’s call center methodology and reservation systems to serve clients efficiently
  • Achieve and maintain certification through initial training and annual recurrent classes
