Job Duties
- Greet customers in a welcoming and professional manner
- utilize customer-focused interpersonal skills such as smiling, eye contact, and providing undivided attention
- assist customers in locating items
- acknowledge waiting customers promptly
- thank customers for their business
- work safely to prevent harm to self, customers, co-workers, equipment, or inventory
- process checkout, exchange and return transactions using cash registers and card terminals
- process sale items, coupons, and discounts accurately
- handle cash accurately and maintain proper cash levels in register drawer
- bag items for customers
- refill register paper
- make helpful product recommendations
- identify opportunities to sell additional merchandise or services
- answer incoming phone calls professionally and courteously
- provide information regarding order status, product availability, sales, promotions, and store events
- replenish merchandise and face products on shelves ensuring neat and professional presentation
- monitor store entrances and exits to promote safety and security
- escalate security concerns to store leadership
- perform daily housekeeping duties such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and dusting
- provide assistance with various store functions to support the team
- perform all other job functions as assigned
