Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid California driver's license
- ability to work intermittently on-call with variable hours
- must be able to work on-site at Northridge campus
- must successfully pass background check including criminal records check
- ability to use personal protective equipment as required
- authorized to work in the United States
- must comply with CSU policy prohibiting out-of-state employment
Job Qualifications
- Experience as an usher at The Soraya for at least one semester preferred
- current American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR, AED and/or First Aid certification preferred
- TIPS certification preferred
- catering or food service experience a plus
- valid California driver's license
Job Duties
- Provide customer service support during events at The Soraya and associated campus theaters
- operate powered carts for audience transportation between campus parking lots and the theater
- assist patrons with ticketing and seating including scanning or tearing of tickets and distributing programs
- enforce venue policies regarding large personal items, food and beverage, and use of recording devices
- monitor security cameras and manage access at the Artists Entrance
- ensure backstage guests are credentialed and assist with guest management during backstage events
- perform basic crowd control and assist with VIP protocols
