Job Requirements

  • must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • high school diploma or currently attending school
  • some previous related volunteer or work experience in customer service or satisfactory combination of education, experience and training
  • bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • proficiency with multi-line telephone systems
  • knowledge of cashier and money handling procedures
  • ability to operate office equipment including computer and phone system
  • ability to communicate professionally by phone, email, and in-person
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and work with frequent interruptions
  • able to report to multiple work sites using own transportation or alternate methods
  • possession or ability to obtain an Oregon driver’s license within 30 days if using a personal vehicle
  • ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • ability to perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and word processing
  • ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods
  • ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
  • ability to act as a Mandatory Reporter and report child abuse or neglect

Job Qualifications

  • ability to create positive relationships with staff and the public

Job Duties

  • provides excellent customer service both externally and internally
  • answers multi-line telephone and greets occasional patrons at the front desk
  • assists with preparation and communication regarding contractual and use agreements with external partners
  • utilizes district registration software to process reservations and manage athletic program details
  • processes financial transactions relevant to rentals and athletic programs including reservations, registrations, refunds, and deposits
  • provides program assistance including communication with coaches and parents, enrollment adjustments, and scheduling assistance
  • maintains inventory of rental and program supplies and equipment
  • performs clerical duties such as data entry, word processing, filing, photocopying, printing facility use agreements, and roster management
  • assists with internal and external schedule creation and management for events and athletics
  • monitors program and rental sites and reports any damage or safety concerns
  • performs emergency support as directed by the emergency action plan
  • acts as a Mandatory Reporter and reports incidents of child abuse or neglect
  • communicates safety concerns promptly
  • performs other job-related duties as assigned
