Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- high school diploma or equivalent
- willingness to work both indoors and outdoors
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting equipment up to 50 pounds
- ability to use protective clothing or gear as required
- non-nicotine user (as per company policy in applicable states)
- willingness to undergo hands-on working interviews
- availability to participate in training and certification programs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- strong customer service skills
- ability to use smartphone technology for business operations
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- willingness to learn and participate in certification programs
Job Duties
- Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services
- use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
- move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
- clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels
- answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services
- prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental
- install hitches and trailer wiring
- fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
- drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
- participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University
- other duties as assigned
