Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years cash handling and customer service experience
- Some experience in opening new deposit accounts preferred
- Demonstrated success in cross-selling banking services and products
- Strong customer relations skills and ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- PC experience required with preference for Word, Excel, and teller/bank software
- Must be a self-starter, dependable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Possess good judgment and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work quickly and accurately, analyze information, and make decisions
- Willingness to assume additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as they arise
- High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties
- Effectively interview and profile new and existing customers to recommend appropriate products and services
- Partner with business lines within the bank to identify sales opportunities
- Open and close customer accounts including checking, savings, money markets, certificates of deposit, and IRAs
- Actively cross-sell bank products and services to customers ensuring needs are met
- Participate in sales programs to generate new customers
- Perform daily teller services including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, stop payments, and wire transfers
- Balance cash drawer independently and maintain cash over and short records
- Participate in branch audit functions and comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Resolve difficult customer situations with creativity, tact, and diplomacy
- Participate in community events and support branch lobby management
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service utilizing STAR qualities
- Assist other customer service representatives with work assignments and balancing
