Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 0-3 years experience in customer service
  • Preferred experience in freight forwarding, logistics, 3PL, transportation brokerage, or trucking company
  • Medium proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Low proficiency in Transportation Management System
  • Low proficiency in AS400
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 0-3 years experience in customer service or related roles
  • Preferred experience in freight forwarding, logistics, 3PL, transportation brokerage, or trucking company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at medium level
  • Basic knowledge of Transportation Management System and AS400
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic emphasizing ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy
  • Growth mindset with passion for continuous improvement and openness to change
  • Customer service focus with ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse customers

Job Duties

  • Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls ensuring outstanding customer service
  • Complete requests with a sense of urgency and professionalism
  • Work within Transportation Management System to trace loads and provide customers with necessary shipment updates
  • Set up routes and transit times and manage appointment scheduling for AIT's services
  • Assist in reviewing and proactively responding to customer emails within the assigned team inbox
  • Promote additional services such as Proof of Delivery to contribute to overall profit
  • Serve as a liaison between sales and account management team and customers to enhance service experience
  • Update sales and account management team with problems that require escalation
  • Review processes and take immediate action to correct or solve issues
  • Act as a resource to new and existing customer accounts to assure accurate and timely delivery
  • Provide feedback on enhancing current procedures to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Develop and maintain relationships with AIT’s customers and vendors
