Job Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • 0-3 years experience in customer service
  • Ability to work with Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • 0-3 years experience in customer service or related roles
  • 0-3 years experience in freight forwarding, logistics, 3PL, transportation brokerage, or trucking company preferred
  • Medium proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Low proficiency in Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Low proficiency in AS400
  • Team player with respect for teammates
  • Strong work ethic with ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy
  • Growth mindset with passion for personal and company improvement
  • Customer service focus with ability to build relationships

Job Duties

  • Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls ensuring outstanding customer service
  • Complete requests with a sense of urgency and professionalism
  • Work within Transportation Management System (TMS) to trace loads and provide shipment updates
  • Set up routes and transit times and schedule appointments for AIT's services
  • Review and proactively respond to customer emails within the assigned team inbox
  • Promote additional services such as Proof of Delivery (POD) to contribute to overall profit
  • Serve as a liaison between sales and account management teams and customers to enhance service experience
  • Update sales and account management teams with any problems requiring escalation
  • Review processes and take immediate action to correct or solve issues
  • Act as a resource to new and existing customer accounts to assure accurate and timely delivery
  • Provide feedback on enhancing procedures to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Develop and maintain relationships with AIT’s customers and vendors
