Job Requirements
- customer service experience
- able to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
- able to push or pull a baggage cart and operate baggage equipment ie tow tractor
- must have a high school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license required

- ability to operate baggage equipment such as tow tractors
- skilled in processing Amtrak tickets and understanding tariffs
- familiarity with Arrow, RailRes/Stars, QuikTrak systems
- experience with Passenger Information Display System
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- positive and good-natured attitude
- comfortable speaking on public address systems and using computer systems
Job Duties
- greet, service and ensure the comfort of each passenger
- assist customers with special needs, luggage handling, and train boarding
- make ticket reports and safeguard company funds
- maintain and care for ticket printers and Quik-Trak machines
- keep information racks filled
- perform miscellaneous clerical duties
- provide passengers with information on schedules, fares, routing, city highlights and intermodal transportation
- ensure timely train boarding and verify passenger tickets and travel documents
- perform janitorial duties
- handle checked baggage, package express, and company materials on station and trains
