Job Description

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of cashiering experience
  • Ability to work weekends and variable hours
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check
  • Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico
  • Availability to work some evenings and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of cashiering experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holiday events
  • Excellent communication and telephone etiquette
  • Knowledge of museum offerings and events

Job Duties

  • Receive and disburse money for museum admissions daily
  • Operate a computerized workstation to sell tickets for museum galleries, Dynatheater, Planetarium, educational programs, and events
  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each day
  • Accurately process discounts, coupons, and refunds
  • Maintain a clean and presentable work area
  • Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and word processing applications for accounting tasks
  • Greet patrons with courtesy and adhere to professional museum standards
