Job Requirements

At least 19 years of age to sell tobacco products
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in cash handling and customer service
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Ability to maintain a neat appearance and good personal hygiene
Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally
Ability to work weekends and evenings
Willingness to use personal protective equipment as required
Completion of Training for Alcohol Professionals (TAP)
Possession of Food Handlers or Food Workers Card
Attendance at required training, seminars and educational classes
Proficiency with computer applications relevant to the job

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Cash handling experience
Customer service experience
Knowledge of retail operations
Knowledge of merchandising procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to perform basic arithmetic
Ability to adapt to variable situations

Job Duties

Provides exceptional customer service
Responsible for all retail sales including tobacco in accordance with regulations
Opens and closes store as needed
Handles cash and operates computer based cash register
Balances cash register at the end of shift
Secures all funds in safe or register
Makes timely drops and maintains cash drawer at required levels
Performs daily station cleaning and maintains safe work environment
Complies with age verification policies for restricted products
Prepares food and drinks in compliance with health codes
Maintains inventory, restocks shelves, refills dispensing machines
Ensures security of store items for loss prevention
Takes measures to protect company assets
Maintains cleanliness and proper merchandising of packaged goods
Executes proper cash reconciliation and closing reports
Maintains courteous and professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors and community
Complies with company appearance and hygiene standards
Preserves safety for self and others at work location
Completes transactions accurately and quickly
Performs cleaning duties inside and outside
Communicates effectively with others
Provides regular attendance
Supports Store Manager as directed
Observes company safety policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
