Job Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to push or pull baggage carts and operate baggage equipment such as tow tractors
- Knowledge of Amtrak ticketing processing and fare tariffs
- Compliance with corporate, company, and station policies
- Skilled in use of ticketing machines and Passenger Information Display System
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Positive and good-natured attitude
- Comfortable using public address system and computer systems
- Able to perform janitorial and baggage handling duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Skilled in processing all types of Amtrak tickets and fare tariffs
- Qualified in operating Arrow, RailRes/Stars, and QuikTrak systems
- Familiarity with Passenger Information Display System operation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and customer-focused attitude
- Comfortable interacting with customers and using Amtrak computer systems
Job Duties
- Greet passengers and provide superior customer service
- Assist customers with special needs and baggage handling
- Make ticket reports and safeguard company funds
- Maintain ticket printers, Quik-Trak machines, and information racks
- Provide verbal and printed information about schedules, fares, routing, and tours
- Ensure timely train boarding and verify passenger ticketing and baggage compliance
- Perform janitorial duties and handle company materials and checked baggage
