Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or ticketing preferred
- Proficient with baggage and express operation and able to quote rates
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs
- Capability to push or pull baggage carts and operate related equipment
- Skilled in processing all Amtrak ticket types and tariff applications
- Qualified in operating Arrow, RailRes/Stars, and QuikTrak systems
- Familiarity with the Passenger Information Display System
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers
- Willingness to perform janitorial duties
- Able to comply with all relevant company and safety policies
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Able to travel up to 25%
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in handling baggage and express operations and quoting rates
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Skilled in pushing or pulling baggage carts and operating baggage equipment such as tow tractors
- Experienced in processing all types of Amtrak tickets with an understanding of tariffs
- Qualified in the operation of Arrow, RailRes/Stars, and QuikTrak ticketing systems
- Familiarity with the Passenger Information Display System
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Positive and customer-focused attitude
- Comfortable using public address systems and Amtrak computer systems
Job Duties
- Greet and assist passengers to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
- Provide support to customers with special needs and assist with luggage and boarding
- Prepare and safeguard ticket reports and company funds accurately
- Maintain and perform preventative care on ticket printers and Quik-Trak machines
- Disseminate travel information including schedules, fares, routing, and boarding instructions
- Ensure timely passenger boarding and verify proper ticketing and compliance with baggage requirements
- Perform janitorial duties to uphold station cleanliness
- Handle checked baggage, package express, and company materials on station and trains
