Job Requirements
- High school diploma or formal training
- Prefer minimum 1 year logistics or maritime experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including personal computer

Job Duties
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Attend daily meetings as required
- Review traffic for status accuracy and report any potential problems to appropriate department
- Assign primary vessel group as required
- Confirm trip requirements are met
- Assist in coordination of barge preparation including stripping cleaning repairs
- Facilitate action plans developed to address problems
- Coordinate horsepower requirements with Scheduler or Scheduling Manager
- Coordinate and hire spot horsepower through approved outside vendors
- Coordinate and hire shore tankering services through approved outside vendors
- Schedule barges as directed
- Send vessel orders as directed
- Coordinate fleet departures and arrivals
- Calculate and update ETAs on barges in Oasis
- Call dock representatives to solicit status for barges prior to arriving port
- Tender barges upon arrival in port as required
- Document all pertinent trip information and complete reports and written turnover plans for shift relief
- Coordinate trip requirements including notifying Coast Guard and Dept of Homeland Security of hazardous cargo
- Communicate delays to Sales and customers
- Monitor heating orders
- Ensure appropriate traffic is correctly entered into Oasis
- Act as ship agent when required including cleaning and fueling
- Assess criteria to determine shore tankermen service
- Facilitate conference calls and action plans for operational concerns including EMR resolution vessel repairs crewing deficiencies
- Perform all other duties as assigned
