Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to pass basic hazardous materials training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of transportation industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT troubleshooting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

Job Duties

  • Answer incoming customer calls and provide detailed information
  • Notify customers daily of freight availability
  • Perform data entry for domestic and international bills
  • Respond to emails, tickets, and messages promptly
  • Utilize PC knowledge and basic IT troubleshooting skills
  • Perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Monitor email requests and provide timely detailed information
  • Manage inbound manifest and close out outbound manifest in AS400 system
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to track tasks
  • Cross-train in multiple departments
  • Accept containers and ensure proper documentation at smaller stations
  • Use multiple software platforms to manage various tasks and priorities
  • Process dock receipts for export bookings and maintain spreadsheets at smaller stations
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance
