Job Requirements
- Must be in physically good shape and able to lift, bend, and stand for up to eight hours
- Must be able to balance on a step stool or ladder
- Ability to work in a cooler environment at 32 degrees
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Basic math proficiency
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Must maintain proper hygiene and professional appearance while on duty
- No use of personal cell phones except for emergency calls using store phone
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Friendly and enthusiastic demeanor
- Dependable and punctual with good time management
- Ability to follow professional appearance standards
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Honest and respectful behavior
Job Duties
- Provide a friendly greeting to customers upon entering the store or on the phone
- Use customer names and establish rapport to make customers feel valued
- Provide fast and efficient service to customers
- Suggestively sell products when appropriate
- Thank customers for their business and invite them back
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms including floors, toilets, sinks, mirrors, walls, and ceilings
- Stock soap, towels, and toilet paper
- Empty and clean trash cans, ensuring bags are tucked out of sight
- Clean doors, windows, floors, coolers, rugs, transaction counters, shelves, fast food area, back office, and coffee/fountain areas
- Sweep and clean outside parking lot, entrance sidewalks, fuel islands, and car wash area
- Merchandise stock, front, and face all products and displays
- Check and stock lottery supplies and cigarettes
- Operate POS, lottery, phone card, and money order machines
- Attend store meetings
- Check in vendors and gas deliveries
- Move and build displays
