Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle job stress and maintain positive interactions
  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • Ability to use ladders and other equipment safely
  • Ability to engage customers of all ages
  • Willingness to perform operational tasks including stocking and unloading trucks

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and perform activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback
  • Create backup or emergency plans for events
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
  • Assist with Omni channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Interact respectfully and positively with team members and customers
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
