Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • basic knowledge of store operations
  • ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico)

Job Qualifications

  • fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • prefer prior work experience with Walgreens

Job Duties

  • models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
  • engages customers by greeting and assisting with products and services, resolves customer issues and answers questions
  • recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion products
  • processes cash transactions including voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
  • maintains clean, well-merchandised counters and shelves, takes inventory, and prices merchandise
  • implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss
  • ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
  • constructs and maintains promotional and seasonal displays
  • assists with food item separation and stock rotation
  • provides customer service in the photo area and manages web order pick-ups
  • assists with store upkeep including interior and exterior maintenance
  • complies with company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers
  • completes trainings and special assignments as directed
