Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- availability to work between 10 - 44 hours weekly depending on part-time or full-time status
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to follow cash handling and uniform policies
- basic problem-solving ability
- willingness to assist other departments when needed

Job Qualifications

- previous cash handling experience preferred
- strong mathematical skills related to cash transactions
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to memorize scripts and follow procedures

- problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Operate the cash recycler
- follow cash handling, uniform, and other relevant policies
- properly bag groceries including separating produce and raw meat
- surpass minimum performance standards
- retrieve customer carts from the parking lot
- offer assistance to expectant mothers, handicapped, or elderly customers
- memorize and execute top 5 duties
- memorize and follow all customer interaction scripts and norms
- inspect paper currency for authenticity
- obtain permission from Cash Team Lead before leaving station
- perform opening and closing tasks including cleaning and signage changes
- check freshness of complimentary jalapenos
- restate order totals to customers
- communicate suggestions, needs, and problems to Cash Team Lead or other designated supervisors
- execute downtime priorities during slow periods
- clean customer restrooms
- assist stockers or other departments as needed
- conduct floor safety sweeps
- troubleshoot simple POS problems
- report problems encountered during shifts
