Job Requirements
- Entry-level position with no prior experience required
- cash-handling experience preferred depending on assigned area
- food preparation experience preferred for some roles
- basic understanding of modern office practices preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- must be able to provide proof of United States citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
- ability to pass pre-employment drug test
- must complete City of Springfield online application with complete employment history

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- basic computer proficiency and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- ability to multitask and manage time efficiently

- organizational skills for inventory and event support
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- physical ability to perform light facility upkeep tasks
- enthusiasm for recreation and community service
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service at assigned facility
- operate front desk duties including answering phones and handling program registration
- sell memberships, passes, or rentals using point-of-sale system
- assist with scheduling and setting up facility rentals and special events
- support light maintenance and upkeep of facilities
- manage inventory assistance, merchandising, stocking, and organizing in gift shops or pro shops
- handle money transactions and cash register operations
- operate specialized equipment such as Zamboni or skate sharpening as required
- manage parking and traffic control during events
- assist with museum displays and tours
- complete data entry and other administrative duties as assigned
