Job Requirements

  • no education requirement

  • must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
  • may be required to obtain a Customs Seal
  • must be able to lift or move items up to 70 pounds regularly
  • able to climb, bend, kneel, and stand frequently and for extended periods
  • must maintain company appearance standards
  • must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • must comply with company attendance standards
  • ability to work shift work and/or overtime

Job Qualifications

  • ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed
  • able to read documents and learn ticketing procedures
  • ability to work well with others and under stress
  • satisfactory completion of customer service agent training with minimum 80% average
  • awareness of hazardous situations and emergency handling
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work in tight spaces
  • present well-groomed appearance
  • ability to communicate via telephone, face-to-face, and public address
  • willingness to work shift work

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
  • work cooperatively to ensure company success
  • provide legendary customer service by attending to traveler needs
  • operate computerized point-of-sale systems for ticketing and check-in
  • handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as payment
  • check in baggage and cargo
  • answer telephone inquiries and resolve customer problems
  • manage transactions for boarding aircraft efficiently
  • address customer issues related to oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost or damaged luggage
  • provide accurate fare, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information
  • complete required forms and reports
  • write irregularity and complaint reports
  • comply with physical ability requirements
  • perform other duties as directed by leadership
