Job Requirements

- Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
- May be required to obtain a Customs Seal for international flights
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 70 pounds regularly and repetitively lift 40 to 50 pounds onto raised surfaces
- Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Must maintain the ability to wear prescribed uniforms
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must comply with company attendance standards
- Ability to work shift work and/or overtime
- Foreign language skills are desirable but not required
- No current or future work authorization sponsorship available
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet job demands
- Able to read documents, follow instructions and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team and under stressful situations
- Must complete customer service agent training program with at least an 80 percent average and fulfill evaluation period
- Must be aware of hazardous situations and capable of handling emergencies
- Must work under tight time constraints and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Must present a well-groomed appearance following company guidelines
- Must be able to perform all job functions within limited space
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills
Job Duties
- Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external customers
- Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of the company
- Responsible for providing legendary customer service to travelers and cargo or baggage service users
- Handles ticketing, check-in, boarding, baggage service, reservations, and complaint resolution using computerized point-of-sale systems
- Greets and assists customers politely, handles cash, checks, credit card, travel vouchers, and coupons as payment for tickets
- Computes charges, makes change, and balances daily transactions
- Checks in baggage and cargo, answers telephone inquiries, pages customers, and resolves problems
- Deals with customer issues due to oversells, flight delays/cancellations, or lost/damaged luggage within company guidelines
- Provides accurate fare, schedule, reservation, flight arrival/departure information and answers general inquiries
- Completes required reports and forms
- Writes irregularity and complaint reports
- May perform other duties as directed by leadership
