Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand or walk constantly for an entire shift
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds occasionally
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks involving bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing
  • Availability to work part-time hours at Miami International Airport
  • Must pass all security clearances and background checks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and team members
  • Basic knowledge of airport security protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ethical conduct
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and security training

Job Duties

  • Provide wheelchair services for passengers ensuring all security procedures are met
  • Monitor security at checkpoints including boarding pass verification and baggage compliance
  • Secure bag rooms by tracking bags with proper stickers and control sheets
  • Oversee security at assigned gates ensuring only authorized personnel access the jet bridge and airplane
  • Manage ramp security by counting bags and preventing unauthorized access
  • Assist as porter behind airline counters facilitating baggage handling and ensuring no bags are left behind
  • Report any irregularities to prevent losses and damage
