Job Requirements

  • must complete background investigation successfully
  • must pass post-offer pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • able to stand or walk continuously for entire shifts on varying surfaces
  • capable of bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing
  • lift or move up to 70 pounds occasionally
  • maintain professional relationship with employees and clients
  • adhere to airport security protocols
  • availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • no supervisory responsibilities required
  • able to provide reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • exceptional customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to speak and write English and/or Spanish
  • effective interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and general public
  • ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
  • capable of understanding and following airport procedures and instructions
  • able to handle working under pressure particularly with high volume public
  • eligible for CBP seal and airport ID by passing criminal background check

Job Duties

  • Communicate consistently with supervisor on duty
  • provide wheelchair services by assisting passengers to assigned locations
  • ensure security procedures are followed at checkpoints including verification of boarding passes and baggage limits
  • monitor and secure bag room operations ensuring all bags are accounted for
  • supervise entry to secure jet bridge areas and monitor personnel with valid identification
  • oversee ramp security including baggage handling and perimeter control
  • assist with porter duties such as weighing, tagging, and managing baggage at airline counters
  • report irregularities to prevent losses and damage
