Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Physical ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel and carry products
  • Capability to walk stairs carrying boxes and other items regularly
  • Ability to perform store cleaning tasks such as sweeping and vacuuming
  • Ability to safely lift up to 55 pounds
  • Comfortable climbing ladders
  • Open availability Friday through Sunday including shifts that may start or end outside regular business hours
  • Willingness to work up to 19 hours per week or 76 hours per month
  • Flexible and punctual
  • Commitment to contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Adherence to attendance policy

Job Qualifications

  • Proven customer service or sales skills
  • Previous retail or related customer service experience preferred
  • Interest in and eagerness to learn about Patagonia products and services
  • Effective communication skills with team members and leadership
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Basic math and computer skills including money handling and register use preferred

Job Duties

  • Deliver best-in-class customer service centering the customer in all interactions
  • Share knowledge and passion for Patagonia products and environmental mission
  • Support front of house and back of house operations including answering phones and assisting with events
  • Process shipments, restock sales floor, and assist with inventory tasks such as sale prep and product transfers
  • Maintain visual store standards including folding, hanging, and dressing mannequins
  • Practice security measures to prevent theft and maintain a safe, organized environment
  • Foster a work environment that is supportive, positive, respectful, and free from harassment
