Job Requirements
- High school degree or GED
- 3-5 years previous freight forwarding experience
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-starter mentality and adaptability
- Basic math skills to calculate freight rates and volumes
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED required
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- 3-5 years of freight forwarding experience
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Experience with AS400 preferred but not required
- Strong multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Problem solving and solution-oriented mindset
- Self-starter mentality with adaptability and flexibility
- Ability to calculate freight rates and related measures
Job Duties
- Act as the primary contact for complex or high-revenue customers
- Quote and route freight across multiple transportation channels
- Track and trace shipments daily
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges
- Provide timely analysis and monitor freight cost metrics
- Work with multiple decision-makers to drive business development
- Ensure compliance with TSA and other government regulations
- Develop and update SOPs for various business segments
- Manage client reporting requests
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve service goals
