Job Requirements
- Use cleaning chemical safely
- work on ladders and in confined areas safely
- take instructions and work well independently
- read and understand cleaning instructions and information
- understand and operate all equipment safely including buffer, scrubber, scissor lift, and pallet jack
- work in different temperatures for sustained periods of time including -10 degrees, 30 degrees, and room temperature
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in custodial or maintenance roles preferred
- ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
- familiarity with operating cleaning and warehouse equipment such as scrubbers, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
- good physical condition to work in various temperature environments
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and reliability
Job Duties
- Pull pallets and clean slots
- empty trash cans in and around the facility
- operate scrubber, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
- clean outside areas and under dock plates as needed
- assist other service personnel with minor repairs including painting
- clean racks, fire systems, fire extinguishers, windows, office restrooms and break rooms
- change batteries, control the correct flow on battery life and documenting damage to equipment
- mix own cleaning solutions to appropriate strength, replenishes soap, towels, tissue containers, and performs related tasks
- housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, warehouse, freezer areas, and public areas in clean and orderly condition
- sweep, dust, mop, strip waxing, and vacuuming floors while using equipment such as brooms, vacuum buffer, and shampooer for all areas in the facility
