Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in cleaning or facility maintenance
- Ability to work physical tasks repeatedly
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Ability to lead a team and manage tasks
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in facility maintenance or cleaning preferred
- Ability to comprehend policy, procedure, and safety manuals
- Ability to read and speak English
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Leadership ability to lead other employees to desired results
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, kneeling, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder height, bending at head or waist, pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds, lifting between 5 - 50 pounds, grasping/gripping with hands, and climbing steps or ladders
- Ability to assimilate simple information or instruction and produce desired outcomes
- Regular attendance record with punctuality
Job Duties
- Clean and polish fixtures, surfaces, and trim
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas
- Sweep and scrub floors
- Dust furniture, ledges, door trim, and equipment
- Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- Wash interior windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets
- Transport trash and waste to disposal area
- Inspect facilities and equipment to determine need and extent of service and equipment required
- Assign tasks to employees and direct projects to verify adherence to specifications based on direction from Area Manager
- Assist employees with needs and/or problems and refer them to the Area Manager or Building Supervisor
- Request necessary supplies and maintenance needed on equipment
- Transport cleaning supplies between areas to be cleaned
- Set up tables and chairs or rearrange tables and chairs when requested by customer
- Inspect electrical equipment and Personal Protective Equipment prior to each use to ensure safe operations and notify Area Manager of any concerns
- Consult Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) book prior to use of each chemical and follow recommended use
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment required for safe completion of job tasks
- Follow and abide by all policies and procedures as established
- Be regularly prompt and present for assigned shift
- Monitor building safety and security by locking doors after completion of cleaning duties and restoring all materials and equipment to their proper storage location
- Foster an open, supportive, communicative, and accountable work environment for the entire team
- Perform other related duties as assigned or needed
