Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Physical fitness to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and heavier with assistance
- Fingerprint clearance for employment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain records
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Flexibility to respond to non-routine tasks and work varied hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
- Familiarity with school cleaning methods, hygiene practices, and equipment operation
- Understanding of proper use of cleaning chemicals and compliance with MSDS guidelines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good communication skills in English
- Bilingual English/Spanish desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance
Job Duties
- Perform general custodial cleaning duties including classrooms, restrooms, and common areas
- Disinfect surfaces and areas according to public health guidelines
- Inspect and maintain lighting, plumbing, and safety equipment
- Secure campus by locking doors, setting alarms, and checking for vandalism
- Conduct daily safety inspections of assigned premises
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical repairs
- Assist with setting up and breaking down school event spaces
