Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent training and/or job-related experience
- Entry level position with training provided
- Prior custodial and/or grounds maintenance experience preferred
- Valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Knowledge of general facility maintenance
- Ability to identify and report safety hazards
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Ability to write simple sentences and maintain records
- Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work without immediate supervision after training
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- Ability to maintain courteous and effective relationships with public and coworkers
- Use and maintain standard personal protective equipment
- Operate light equipment and professional cleaning machinery
- Operate general office equipment for submitting timesheets and documents
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent training and/or job-related experience
- Prior custodial or grounds maintenance experience preferred
- Valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to maintain simple records and perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to work independently after training
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships
Job Duties
- Clean facility interiors including floors, surfaces, restrooms, locker rooms, and specialized areas
- Maintain exterior facility areas including grounds, entryways, and windows
- Support event setup and breakdown by moving furniture and equipment
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners
- Monitor and track inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as needed
- Identify, report, and address potential safety hazards
- Perform other duties as assigned
