Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions and perform simple math calculations in English
- one year of custodial or housekeeping experience in a comparable cleaning organization
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work specified shift of 7 AM to 3:30 PM Thursday through Monday on-site
- pass a criminal background check
- pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- pass a medical examination including physical screening after conditional job offer
- willingness to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to chemicals, dirt, dust, and variable temperatures
- ability to perform heavy lifting up to 75 pounds
- ability to work independently without supervision
Job Qualifications
- One year of custodial or housekeeping experience in a comparable cleaning organization
- ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
- ability to perform simple math calculations
- valid driver’s license
- knowledge of green cleaning chemicals and processes
- knowledge of proper cleaning methods, equipment, and supplies
- ability to operate cleaning power equipment including vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, rotary buffers, power washers, restroom cleaning machines, and baseboard edgers
- ability to work independently in a non-supervised environment
- familiarity with CIMS cleaning standards
- knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines
- ability to understand oral and written instructions
- ability to maintain records such as timesheets and supply logs
- ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
- ability to respond to emergency cleaning needs
Job Duties
- Perform custodial cleaning of designated areas daily including entrances, restrooms, lobbies, locker rooms, office spaces, break rooms, common and conference areas
- change lamps as needed
- maintain and ensure organization and compliance of storage and supply areas
- ensure security of facilities and report issues
- respond to emergency cleaning requests
- perform scheduled project cleaning such as deep carpet and hard floor cleaning and restrooms
- conduct detail cleaning including high dusting, window cleaning, edge and baseboard cleaning, furniture cleaning, floor scrubbing and recoating, spot carpet cleaning, and moving furniture
- perform light exterior grounds maintenance including sweeping walkways, snow and ice removal manually when requested, and trash/debris removal from entrance and landscape areas
- operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, rotary buffers, power washers, restroom cleaning machines, and baseboard edgers
- comply with OSHA safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment
- maintain records related to custodial activities
- work independently with limited supervision
