Job Requirements
- Six months related janitorial experience
- Ability to read, understand and follow written directions
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination
- Must pass drug screening and background check
- Must have Class C Texas Driver's License
Job Qualifications
- Six months of related janitorial experience
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and oral directions
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination
- Preferred high school diploma or GED
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Ability to use heavy commercial cleaning equipment
- Ability to recognize safety hazards and take appropriate actions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in changing environments
Job Duties
- Drive to and from assigned work locations
- Perform deep cleaning projects including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
- Inspect cleaning of assigned facilities and complete inspection sheets
- Stock janitors' closets and monitor inventory
- Perform midday cleaning and trash removal in break rooms and restrooms
- Perform periodic floor detailing including stripping and waxing
- Handle daily meeting setups and takedowns
- Clean rooftops and gutters periodically
- Perform periodic maintenance tasks such as changing filters, light bulbs, and batteries
- Comply with all written City policies and procedures
- Adhere to assigned work schedule
- Perform other related work as required
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed
