Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time
- Physical capability to lift up to 65 pounds frequently and push carts weighing up to 200 pounds with assistance
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand, walk, talk, and use hands effectively
- Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision
- Willingness to work as part of a team and independently
- Positive customer service attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong ability to work well with others independently and in a team environment
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting and moving heavy objects
- Forklift operation experience preferred
Job Duties
- Follow specific instructions, established procedures, and written orders
- Perform all building custodial work including offices, public areas, restrooms, meeting rooms, exhibit halls, lobby, ballrooms, theater, corridors, elevators, and stairways
- Assist with assembly, disassembly or installation of convention center equipment such as tables, chairs, and stages
- Sweep, scrub, apply finish, and polish floors
- Clean carpets and upholstered furniture using vacuums and carpet cleaning machines
- Dust furniture
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ash urns
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Transport trash and waste to disposal areas
- Set up and take down chairs, tables, staging, and other equipment
- Stack and unstack tables and chairs on racks using a forklift
