  • Knowledge of cleaning agents and infection control procedures
  • Ability to use specialized cleaning equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform routine and detail cleaning of patient rooms, exam areas, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and equipment using approved cleaning agents and infection control procedures
  • Replenish paper products, soap, and sanitizer dispensers throughout assigned areas
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors
  • empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash according to infection control standards
  • Clean windows, walls, furniture, and equipment as assigned
  • Disinfect and maintain gurneys, wheelchairs, and other patient transport equipment
  • Launder SNF resident items when launderer support is unavailable
  • Maintain housekeeping supply rooms and report inventory needs to supervisor
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies
  • Use proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques to prevent injury
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Support and participate in quality assurance and departmental improvement efforts
