Job Requirements
- Knowledge of custodial operations and industry standards
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of janitorial, custodial, housekeeping services, and sanitizing techniques
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Skills in using housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, and scrubbing machine
- Knowledge of safety procedures, particularly related to equipment operation, chemical use, and trash/recycling
- Ability to report to work during inclement weather and emergent conditions as an essential employee

Job Duties
- Provides cleaning services to the college's buildings, including daily removal of trash, mopping, dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming
- Assists in setting up and taking down for special events as assigned
- Complies with laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash and waste
- Reports to work during inclement weather and assists in snow removal from entries and walkways and application of snow-melt
- Performs floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and black/white-board cleaning
- Replaces light bulbs and performs other assigned cleaning tasks
- Maintains good attendance habits
